Súrar Míur was founded with a simple idea: to bring truly good pickles to Iceland.
What started as a small project quickly became a passion for getting every detail right, from selecting local ingredients to achieving the perfect balance of crunchiness, acidity, and flavor. Our pickles are grown in Icelandic geothermal greenhouses, along with fresh dill from VAXA, sea salt from Saltverk, and pure Icelandic water.
Every batch is freshly made, vinegar-brined, and stored in the refrigerator to preserve a crisp texture and fresh taste. Over time, the flavor deepens, but the goal remains the same: a pickle that is clean, balanced, and hard to stop eating.
At Súrar Míur, we keep things simple and focus on quality, good ingredients, and a meticulous process.
